We will have a CHANGE with this meeting. ***THE PROGRAM WILL BEGIN AT 6:00 p.m.***

Dustin Adcock will present a program on pruning for the new season

Then a meal Chicken Stew $5.00 per person

Followed by reports and business

Door prizes & Deserts always welcome

On a sad note Pete Whitley long time bee club member and very active until health issues. He passed Thursday afternoon please remember him and Lynette in your prayers. Visitation at Hartsells Albemarle 2:00-2:45 Sunday 4th.

February Meeting


February Beekeepers meeting will be held at
Rocky River Springs Fish House
33850 Rocky River Springs Rd, Norwood, NC 28128
Thursday  February 8th 2018. We will have a meal  at 6pm and start meeting
at 7 pm.
Program will be: Back to the Basics of Inspections.

The club will also have a display on Beekeeping set up in the Oakboro  Museum.
The Museum will hold a open house this Sunday the 4th from 2 to 4 pm. If you can please stop by and help support our club.

Beginning Beekeeper Class in January 22nd


The Stanly County Beekeepers Association (SCBA) is pleased to announce our first beginning beekeeper class for 2018.

The first of eight classes will be Monday night January 22nd from  7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The last class will be March 12th.

The classes are $30.00 plus $15.00 for text book.

All classes will be held at Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, 26032-B Newt Road, Albemarle, NC 28001.

1. If you have time to attend the webinar put on by Kim Flottum & Dr. Jim Tew. Click on the link below to register an request a invite to the webinar and follow the directions do it   (soon it at 12 to 1 pm on the 13th)   and you can attend via computer, smart phone or regular phone but you have to register and get invited. THEY HAVE A VERY QUICK HOUR GOOD STUFF PRACTICAL AND UNDERSTANDABLE.

Program: 7 pm

Guest speaker Mike Barbee will present a program on one of our favorite topics WAX MOTHS. He has a very good program with projections and information.

WE WILL HAVE OUR PA SYSTEM THERE !!!!!!!!!

Followed by a recap upcoming events. Update on hive grant applications.  Hive health and what’s in bloom. Please think of getting dues paid this month if possible help our treasurer our.​​

*****IF ANYONE CAN HELP OUT THE CLUB WITH THE AG CENTER THIRD GRADE PROGRAM OCTOBER 10th-11th -12th.

It will be held at the Agri-Civic Center from 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
We will have the cage set up with honey bees to show the (600 to 700) school kids what goes on in a hive along with a table of products so we need 4 to 5 people each day to help explain what they do.
We need 3 more people Tuesday and Wednesday part of the day or all of it.  Lunch is provided by the Agi-Civic Center.
