Stanly County Beekeepers Association (SCBA) meets the second Thursday of each month at a variety of sites across Stanly County where we discuss bee events, blooming plants, seasonal conditions, and research findings.
Join us on the second Thursday of each month for dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by a meeting at 7:00 p.m. usually adjourning around 8:00 p.m.

Mike, In case you haven’t already been contacted. The SCBA will meet on Thursday August 13 at the stanly county agriculture center in albemarle. Covered dish dinner at 6 pm. Meeting starts at 7pm . Program is on ” raising queens”. Hope you can join us.

Yes, anyone interested in beekeeping is invited. I hope you went to the meeting. I just got your message this morning. Joining us is the best way to learn how to care for bees. We have educational/informative meetings every month, two field trips a year, and an early spring class, ususlly about six, for beginners and refresher alike. I ALWAYS learn something new.

Glad you talked with JR. His shop is where I’d recommend you get your equipment and bees. He’ll get you started correctly. He’s done a lot for the beekeeping community. I highly respect him.
